I miss the old Pirates of the Caribbean attraction

I sure miss the old pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland. You know the one that had the dark tunnel with the eerie voice over between the grotto and the battle scene. That spooky dark transition tunnel is now filled with light and a crappy video projection of "davey jones" the pirate from the movie. I wish it would go away! I also sure miss the old battle scene with Red Beard the pirate and his voice over. Now all I can hear in the battle scene is loud Pirates of The Caribbean film music, not only does it ruin the battle scene for me, but that music flows into the next three scenes as well, totally ruining the experience and the "flow". I would pay anything to have the ride restored to its glorious self. Remove the "Davey Jones" projection in the tunnel and please remove the loud music in the battle scene. I would be in Heaven.

Year of a million dreams? What a joke.

Sorry but this whole "year of a million dreams" campaign is a joke at best.
It makes no sense. I hate to say it but I think Jay Rusullo the man behind lots of the poor mistakes the Disney parks have been making lately should be forced out. Too many people have worked to hard and long for Jay to keep the park from changing for the good. I think we need to bring back a save Disneyland campaign and work to oust this guy. We just lost a great Disney employee Greg Emmer and it is a very big shame. Jay and his other allies, don't love the parks, they don't visit the parks, they are out of touch with the marketplace, with the guests, employees and just about everything Disney. Time for Jay and co. to go, enjoy your severance package and golf with your good buddy Michael E.
That would be my "Dream coming true"

We need to save the magic of Disneyland

For too many years now I have witnessed the magic of Disneyland being whithered away by the non creative forces and MBA types forgetting about what makes Disneyland special.
When visiting the park as of late I find more and more things making me feel like I am in a expensive shopping mall with rides. The magic seems to be dissapearing around me, more and more vendor carts placed in my way and decisions being made without regard to the theme of the environment. We need to make sure that management does not destroy what makes Disneyland so special. I really hope that the MBA types learn that by keeping the magic in the park we will ensure a whole new generation of children who will end up bringing there children to the park over and over again which is in everyones best interest. If we destroy what makes the park special then we will alienate an entire generation of children.

Lets remember what Walt said:

"A word may be said in regard to the concept and conduct of Disneylands operational tone. Although various sections will have the fun and flavor of a carnival or amusement park, there will be none of the "pitches" game wheels, sharp practices and devices designed to milk the visitor's pocketbook"
-Walt Disney

"Disneyland is not just another amusement park. It's unique, and I want it kept that way. Besides, you don't work for a dollar- you work to create and have fun."
-Walt Disney

"Disneyland is a show"
-Walt Disney

I sure hope someone remembers to follow the advice of the Park and the companies name sake. Walt knew what he was doing, let's not forget that. Let's get back on course here.
